Dr. Kitty Boitnott, NBCT, RScP, is a Career Transition & Job Search Coach. She is also the "Go To" Lifestyle Educator when it comes to stress management and work-life balance. Kitty offers seven (7) SUREFIRE strategies that help manage and reduce physical and psychological stress while building resilience needed to deal with the everyday changes and challenges of living in the 21st century. With over 40% of Americans suffering from some stress-related ailment and between 75% and 90% of all visits to primary health care providers being the result of a stress-related complaint, stress is an increasingly important public health concern.

Those who experience Kitty's workshop on stress management learn: (1) what stress is and how it affects the human brain and body; (2) what the individual stressors for each participant are because they are given an assessment while in the workshop; and (3) what the seven SUREFIRE strategies that participants can start practicing right away that will reduce their stress reaction while building their physical and emotional resilience for the future.
The strategies provided are research based and timely given the increased concern about the negative effects of stress on our overall health and the need for individuals to intentionally create work-life balance that works.

Before becoming a coach, Kitty was an educator and teacher leader. She was President of the Virginia Education Association from 2008-2012 and spoke to hundreds of people in groups of all sizes on topics related to public education, education reform, and student advocacy. Now her passion is helping those who have hit a point in their lives when they are considering changing direction and focus but who need to consider how stress is having a negative effect on their lives and their ability to live as fully as they deserve.
CREATING WORK-LIFE BALANCE
This program helps participants consider what work-life balance means to them since there is no "one size fits all" definition for work-life balance. What will feel good to one wouldn't work at all for another. Each individual must decide for himself or herself what their priorities are, and then they need to think about what legacy they wish to leave. Everything else is relative to the question of where your individual priorities are. Individuals who have participated in this program have called in "deep" and "life changing."
CREATING A HEALTHY AND BALANCED LIFESTYLE THAT WORKS FOR YOU
Everyone practices lifestyle choices every day that either enhance their health and well-being or they detract from them. This program covers much of the material that is included in the Stress Management program that I offer, but it is offered from the standpoint of making healthy choices and creating a lifestyle that is both healthy and balanced.

The job landscape of America has changed fundamentally and forever. The days of individuals providing loyal service for decades and then retiring on a pension is over. I can speak to those who are attempting to reinvent themselves in a new economy because that is what I have been doing as I have transitioned from public school educator to entrepreneur.
